UPM and the COAM, have reached a collaboration agreement whereby both institutions will join forces to promote the philosophy and values of the two main UPM architecture masters.
Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and the Madrid College of Architects (COAM) have reached a collaboration agreement whereby both institutions will join forces to promote the philosophy and values of the two main UPM architecture masters: Master in City Sciences (MCS) and Master in Collective Architecture and Housing (MCH).
This partnership began with Salvador Rueda’s Master Class in COAM, where he talked about Systemic Urbanism. MCS will be open to a number of key expert lecturers to foster urban knowledge. This was just the first conference of the agreement. Two other professors from these masters, worldwide famous for the quality of their works, will deliver two lectures, open for all their members, in COAM next week.
Grants for Madrid collegiate members
The agreement also has other advantages for Madrid collegiate members. UPM will grant 50% of the enrolment in MCS or MCH, for up to six collegiate members of COAM, three in each master
. In addition, a two days seminar on City Sciences will take place within a few weeks, one day in COAM and another in an entity to be decided. Attendance will be free for collegiate members.
Of course, every current student of MCS and MCH is invited to attend these conferences. We hope that this would be the first step for more collaboration between two of the most important institutions in the city of Madrid.
